Angela George, Founder & Creative Director

Angela has walked numerous companies through the branding exercise, both young companies and established brands looking for a fresh identity. Her innovative outlook allows clients to articulate their unique qualities in ways that forge profound and lasting connections, which she then translates through the language of design.

Angela has worked for boutique design studios and behemoth Ad agencies. She spent nearly 7 years at The Richards Group where she quickly worked her way up from designer to leading a team of creatives for a number of the agency’s top clients such as Red Lobster and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

Angela founded By George in 2011 to focus her energy on the clientele she is most passionate about: lifestyle brands with an emphasis on food and beverage and hospitality industries. Her most recent clients range from the auto industry, to various restaurants and hotels as well as master planed communities, including Costa Rica Eco Resort, Walsh Ranch Community in Ft Worth TX, and John Eagle Auto Group. Her goal with By George is to touch the lives of others through the impact of design. At the core of her practice is always strategic, conceptual, design work.

Her enthusiasm for food, and unique creative background landed her an opportunity in 2015 to compete with amateur cooks on Food Network’s new hit series “All Star Academy” Season One. There she used her creative skills and talents in the kitchen to compete for prizes under the tutelage of celebrity chef Bobby Flay. Go ahead, throw a culinary challenge at her too, she will not disappoint.

Angela has been a leader in the North Texas design industry for over a decade. She sat on the board of directors for the Dallas Society of Visual Communications for 10 years holding nearly every board position possible, including serving as president for the nations’ largest independent design club from 2011-2012. Angela also served as chairman of the DSVC National Student Show and conference for many years. Maintaining and motivating a large group of volunteers to organize nationally renowned keynote speakers, workshops, studio tours, and the scholarship program which doles out around $20,000 to communication design students each year.

Angela has spoken at the various conferences and universities about the communication design industry and has been recognized by many award shows and publications including: HOW Print Magazine, Communication Arts, AIGA, and DSVC.

With so much swirling around this vivacious business owner, Angela maintains a daily yoga practice to keep her mind focused, and heart centered. As of January 6th 2017 she reached a new milestone and can hold a headstand on a paddleboard, while drifting in the ocean, for exactly 24.3 seconds.
